Second Test Broadcast
Sunday 8th June - Saturday 21st June 2008
Phoenix FM ’s second successful test broadcast was for two weeks from Sunday 8th June to Saturday 21st June. There was a brief interruption because ACMA granted us 12 of 24 hours on Sunday 14th June.
For this period, ACMA again gave us the 89.5MHz broadcast frequency and we were able to reach the Bendigo area.
First Outside Broadcast Sunday June 15th
Our first outside broadcast was a call of the Round 9 TAC Cup match between Bendigo Pioneers and Eastern Ranges from Country Vet Oval, Golden Square on Sunday June 15th.
Four announcers covered the match.

We had brilliant equipment, brilliantly installed by Peter, three footy callers who work superbly together as a team, and Brad anchoring beautifully back at studio headquarters. By any standards, this was an outstanding success and something which made community radio history in Bendigo. (Geoff Morris)
